Appreciating history is important and that is why the care and time has been spent to renovate the former harold's in The Heights building. Harold and Milton Wiesenthal were pillars in the community and we plan on keeping their memory alive while we establish a footprint that the neighborhood will be proud to support.
We've assembled a wonderful management team and staff, and we welcome constructive critiquing and suggestions for items you would like to see in our retail market.
Located on 19th Street, just 10 minutes from downtown and the Galleria, The Heights General Store @ harold's is your neighborhood market and kitchen, so please feel at home every time you visit!
We appreciate your business!
The Heights General Store Team
The Heights General Store is your neighborhood market, deli, kitchen, restaurant and bar.
THGS was founded by Alli Jarrett, a resident of The Heights since 2002. Alli's love for The Heights stems from her upbringing in Kingstree, a small town in the low country of South Carolina, where she grew up in a family wholesale business that her grandparents started and operated for 52 years.
Fresh produce from local farmers was constantly given to Alli's grandmother, who gave her the love of food and the social bond it provides between family and friends. Like Kingstree, The Heights is about knowing your neighbors and supporting the local community.
The foundation of The Heights General Store @ harold's is to serve the community by offering local, fresh and natural items and by providing outstanding customer service every time you visit. Whether you need a loaf of fresh artisan bread, supper from our selection of prepared foods, a gift or a fine meal from our rooftop terrace, we want you to feel like THGS is your neighborhood home where you can count on the freshest local items in our retail store and tasty southern cuisine from our kitchen.
